The DJI Phantom is a special drone for sale that is also known as a radio measured aircraft. After buying, the users must first assemble it before they can fly it outside. Users can easily find an instructional video of the DJI official website or they can also download a quick start manual that gives all details related to the product and how to operate it. Once you have read the instructions properly and have assembled your drone you need to try it outside for its first flight. First, turn on its control unit and then turn on the jet. To do this, install the rechargeable lithium polymer battery of 2200 mAh or 11.1v. The Phantom DJI does a self-check on all its systems and transmits the results through its RGB LED display. This self-check is compulsorily performed before every flight.

The LED goes on and off and displays varying patterns of colours. The different flashing colours signals the various states in which the device currently is. To understand correctly what the patterns of the flashing lights are, the users need to have used it quite a few times. The users thus, must have read the quick start user guide. Even if they have read the manual, comprehending the blinking multiple colours is quite difficult. This is a slight drawback of the DJI Phantom that it does not comes with a LCD screen that displays the status of the device in plain words rather than anything else. To try this device for the first time, users would need to fly it above a big field for the simple reason that it can access satellite for the GPS features to function. The Phantom is without a doubt a top product and is not too bothered by rough terrains and the only harm that the device experienced was after several harsh landings. However, a good thing about the DJI Phantom is that it can be used for long periods of time without any major problems.

The DJI Phantom is really a nice product and after a few flights the user would get used to flying it and start enjoying the device. The Phantom is a fast moving device which can go at speeds of 10 m or 32.8 feet per second in the forward direction. The device can also go high in the sky and also immediately responds to its commands. The battery of the DJI Phantom lasts for about 13 minutes while in-flight. The Phantom can also fly in the air while in the altitude mode even when the user removes his hands away from its controller. The device has a special fail-safe feature that makes the flying experience safer and more enjoyable. There are also some other great features which makes the Phantom DJI a superb aircraft. Some of them are simple assembly, GPS enabled position holding, tough construction, built-in GoPro attachment point and physical joysticks that are better than touchscreen sliders, control impressive performance, intelligent orientation and highly integrated design.

The Phantom 2 is a small controlled drone that is absolutely loaded with hi-tech features such as GPS, Wi-Fi, a 14MP camera with an F/2.8 lens. The DJI Phantom is a fun to fly as it can reach a speed of 35 mph and fly at a height of 900 feet but with a solid small camera. Thus, this device enables amateurs and professionals to get very difficult pictures from high above the sky.

At the first look, the plastic body may make it seem like a kid’s toy but actually it is a sturdy and purposeful device. The users may even land up in jail if they do not use it cautiously. Before a user can fly the machine he has to power on the drone, the remote, the Wi-Fi repeater and pair up his phone with the repeater and start the mobile app. After this, the user should flick the switches on the right till the drone lights go yellow. Then hold the copter, rotate it on the Z-axis and turn it 90 degrees to make the camera point in the downward direction. Do a full 360 degrees around the Z access and this calibrates its compasses. If the abovementioned procedure is correct the drone’s lights would then turn green and it signals that it can be flown now. The two joysticks are pushed to the lower-inside corners to initiate the spinning of its rotors. The left joystick regulates its altitude and rotation, while the right joystick regulates the pitch and roll. The users while using the phone app to control the camera would like it very much. User only needs to tap the up or down arrows to adjust the camera tilt or start/stop recording videos with a button press or to capture an image. The drone can easily send video to the phone in realtime at 30 fps but it is a debatable statement. The video usually freezes completely for 10 sec, then plays a little and freezes again. Furthermore, the camera’s POV is also disappointing. It can take pictures in JPG or Adobe DNG raw files that is a good feature. But, after each click the screen goes black and only wakes up again after about nine seconds. However, all the data can be stored into an external micro SD card and this is a very convenient feature.

In the end, it can be easily said that the new DJI Phantom is a real fun to fly. Most of the people that have used it at least say so. It is also very easy to take in the air and with a little caution it is one of the safest drones to fly at present. The presence of a GPS makes it one of the trendiest drone model around and the Wi-Fi repeater is a real smart idea. The device is fully controllable through your smartphone which according to me is its best feature.
